UMBRIA TOUR    Umbria, known for its historical hill towns and beautiful countryside. More specifically, for its landscapes, traditions, history, artistic legacy, local cuisine, particularly foraged truffles and wine, and influence on culture. Fall is, in my opinion, the best time to visit this region. In the late fall, the valleys of Umbria are awash in autumnal shades of red, burnished orange and yellow; olives are going to press; and grapes are harvested. We start our tour in Perugia, the regional capital. Perugia is the site of medieval Palazzo dei Priori, housing the Galleria Nazionale dell’Umbria, not to mention it is a beautiful walled hill town with spectacular views, lovely squares, elegant coffee and chocolate shops and where you can find Etruscan remains that are visible in several places around the city. Perugia is also known for its annual Umbria Jazz Festival and Chocolate Fair. After Perugia, we take off for the wine country and stay in a picturesque little inn with breathtaking views over the vineyards and on to the small hill towns across the valley. While here we explore beautiful towns like Assisi, Spello, Bevagna and Deruta. We’ll also take a cooking class to learn how to make the local specialties and visit a few wineries to taste the local wine.  Click Here For More info >>
