CAPRI & THE AMALFI COAST TOUR • One of my favorite places on earth to visit and I can’t wait to share it with you! This week has a little something for everyone. We visit Pompeii, enjoy a wine tasting near Mount Vesuvius, take a boat trip around Capri and go into the famous Blue Grotto, experience a fun cooking class, explore the villages along the Amalfi Coast and have time to relax on the beach!

DAY 1 | CAPRI 4 NIGHTS • We meet at the Naples train station in the morning, where our private driver will take us to Pompeii for a private tour. Stopped in its tracks by the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in A.D. 79, Pompeii offers the best look anywhere at what life must have been like 2,000 years ago. An entire city of well-preserved ruins is ours to explore! After exploring Pompeii, we have lunch at a local restaurant then take a ferry to Capri where we settle into our home for the next 4 nights. We enjoy a wonderful welcome dinner together.

DAY 2 | CAPRI • Today we explore more of Capri. We first take a walk to visit the beautiful Giardini di Augusto, where the views are memorizing! Afterwards, will take our minibus up to Anacapri where you will have time to shop, visit Chiesa San Michele, take the chairlift up to Monte Solaro, visit Villa San Michele and maybe have some sandals handmade just for you! Tonight, we have a special dinner at my friend’s restaurant, where we will dine under the lemon groves!

DAY 3 | CAPRI • Today we visit Capri by boat! Our skipper will stop along the way in all the little caves that you can explore by swimming in them. We have a fabulous lunch made for us while we enjoy a swim or perhaps a nap on the front of the boat! This is Capri! The evening is yours to explore more of Capri and its many wonderful restaurants.

DAY 4 | CAPRI • This morning we explore more of this island with a walk to either Villa Jovis or to the Arco Naturale… then a fun Limoncello Experience this afternoon (Shhh it’s a surprise!).

DAY 5 | POSITANO 3 NIGHTS • This morning we transfer to Positano, the most charming town along the Amalfi Coast. Once settled into our hotel, I will show you around town and the secret places I have discovered over the years.

DAY 6 | POSITANO • This morning you have some time to relax, shop, or hike before we meet for our cooking class on the beach! How lucky are we to enjoy the food we have made looking over the beautiful beach in Positano. You have the rest of the day/evening to relax and explore more of this amazing cliffside town!

DAY 7 | POSITANO • Today we explore the Amalfi Coast. We visit the towns of Praiano, Amalfi, Ravello and visit a winery for a tour of the vineyards along with a homemade lunch. While in Ravello, we will be able to tour the gardens of Villa Cimbrone and the famous infinity terrace. The gardens and views are both incredible. This is someplace you want to make sure you have your camera! We have a wonderful farewell dinner together this evening.

DAY 8 | POSITANO • Tour is over after breakfast. I can help book your transfers to the Naples train station/airport and help with suggestions if you decide to stay an extra day or two in the Amalfi Coast.

Required Trip Insurance
Please note that trip insurance is required to join us on a Ciao Darcy trip. Trip cancellation insurance will protect all deposits and payments for land and air costs if you are required to cancel your tour. We recommend www.travelguard.com
Minimum Travelers
Minimum Travelers: We only run trips with 4 or more guests. If a trip has fewer attendees at 45 days before the trip dates, we will cancel the trip. However, if this were to happen, we can give you the option of a private tour with a surcharge applied.
Accommodations
We have partnered with boutique hotels that meet the Ciao Darcy standards of service.
Room Options
Double Occupancy: Double occupancy pricing is the price for (1) person to stay in a shared (i.e. double) room. In other words, each person staying in that room will pay the posted double occupancy rate. If you’re a couple or friends traveling together, please know that you’ll each pay the double occupancy rate.
Single Occupancy: Need some alone time? We hear you. That’s why we offer single occupancy rooms. The single occupancy rate is what you will pay to have the room all to yourself.
Roommates
If you do not have a travel partner, you can purchase single occupancy room and have it all to yourself! We do not pair up trip attendees because we find there is not enough privacy in the rooms to allow strangers to room together.
Please note: Many cities in Italy and France have recently implemented tourism taxes on hotel stays in order to “to ensure the quality of tourist, cultural and environmental services in addition to the efficiency of public transports.” We are unable to include these taxes in the tour price as the majority of hotels require the tax to be paid in cash upon check- out. The tax is usually 1 euro per hotel star per person per night. (A four star hotel will usually be four euro per person per night).
